About Free QR Tools
By Sheraz Khan
Free QR Tools is a free QR code generator made for small businesses, teachers, event organisers and anyone who needs a QR code in seconds. There is no sign-up, no watermark, no app to install and no expiry date on the codes. You open the tool, type your link or detail, and download a QR code as a PNG or SVG. That is the whole idea: a simple tool that does one job well, for free.
Who built Free QR Tools
Free QR Tools was built by Sheraz Khan. Sheraz has 6 years of experience in SEO and social media marketing, helping local businesses, SaaS companies and product brands get found online. He builds WordPress websites and Shopify stores, and runs Meta and Google ads for clients who want more customers, not just more clicks.
Sheraz built this site because he kept seeing the same problem. A small business needed a QR code for a menu, a business card or a poster, and the tools they found asked for an email, a trial, or a monthly fee, and the codes stopped working when the trial ended. That is the wrong way to sell a simple tool. A QR code is a link in a square. It should be free, it should work forever, and it should not need an account.
Why the codes are free and never expire
Our codes are static QR codes. That means the link, the text, the WiFi password or the contact detail is stored inside the code itself, not on a server we control. There is no short link to keep paying for, and no account to keep open. Once you download a code, it is yours. It will work for as long as the link or the detail inside it still works.
We do not sell your data, we do not show you a watermark, and we do not ask for your email to make a code. The site is supported by ads, which is why it can stay free for everyone. When you see an ad on this site, that is what keeps the tool free. We do not take payment for the codes, and we never will.
What you can make here
You can make a QR code for a website link, a plain text note, a WiFi network, a vCard contact, a WhatsApp chat, an email, a phone number, a text message, a location on Google Maps, an event, a Bitcoin address or a payment. Each type has its own page with a plain guide, so you can learn how it works in a few minutes. The home page has the full tool with 12 tabs, so you can switch between types in one place.
You can add your logo to a code, change the colours, and download the code as a PNG or an SVG. The SVG is best for large prints, because it stays sharp at any size. The PNG is best for screens and for small prints. You can copy the link or share the code straight from the tool.
Your privacy
Your code is made in your browser. The links, passwords, phone numbers and messages you type are used only to draw the QR code on your screen. We do not store them, we do not sell them, and we do not ask for your personal details to make a code. Read our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
